Summer is here and by the looks of this blog, you would be forgiven for assuming we here at Popular Classical HQ were on an extended vacation. We can assure you that this is not the case (we can't afford it), and to prove it to you we have a new release in the pipeline.

To date all of our releases have been in the accessible (and easily ignored) digital format, but we've been toying with the idea of doing a tape for some time now. And so we are happy to announce that early July will mark Popular Classical's entry into the financially volatile cassette trade.

Endless Breakfast is an album of electronic listening music, produced by Zachary Wilson over a period of roughly one year, released in a limited edition of 30 tapes. The album will be comprised of mostly new material, though some new mixes of previously released tracks will appear.

The EP steps away from the steeping meditations of Wilson's drone work (editor's note: the writer refers here to Andy & Zeus) to summon some thoughtful and synth-heavy dance cuts. Vocal-less, Wilson oscillates these 25 minutes between the Kosmische sounds of Tangerine Dream and the floor-forward fatness of Detroit Techno, closing with the gorgeous, beatless threnody "Reflection Pool."
